Rizwan Saleem | The distant shore

There is a better world out there
Said my father near the shore
We’ll be safe there my son
You’ll be scared no more
There are schools and playgrounds
And happy people too
A new beginning awaits us
All there on the new shore

We will hide no more
No loud sounds to hear
Plenty to eat
And nothing to fear
The sea will roar
B
ut hold on tight
Till we reach that distant shore

Will I get candies and make friends new?
We’ll get there father, god will see us through
The boat rocks and fails
The water gushes in
But I won’t let go father
God will see us through

I made it home father
I made it all alone
I’ve found my way here
See….
I made it to the shore
