Submission Guidelines

The MOON welcomes submissions of original short stories, poetry, essays, and memoirs of any length (generally less than 5,000 words), as well as photography, artwork, and even video, addressing the following themes. (For 2018 we’re on a mission: what can “save” the world?)

October 2017, “Make it rain: Shamanism for our times,” DEADLINE: September 25, 2017

November 2017, “Plant intelligence,” DEADLINE: October 27, 2017

December 2017, “Forgiveness: No irredeemable people,” DEADLINE: November 2, 2017

January 2018, “Conscious partnership,” DEADLINE: November 15, 2017 (Please NOTE early deadline as we aim for a print publication in January 2018!)

February 2018, “Mycelium magic: How the unexpected can save the world” DEADLINE: December 15, 2017

March 2018, “Return to our roots: The Permaculture plan for saving the world” DEADLINE: January 20, 2018

April 2018, “Indigenous leadership: Native wisdom for these times,” DEADLINE: February 20, 2018

May 2018, “Can enlightened capitalism save the world?” DEADLINE: March 20, 2018

June 2018: “Free at last: lessons learned behind bars,” DEADLINE: April 20, 2018
